Over Easter weekend, Alex Ledford — ”the anthropologist of the modern age” I’ve featured previously as a photographer to follow — made a trip to The City That Care Forgot.
Fortunately for us, Alex didn’t forget his camera. Nor his wanderlust. What he left with was a clear photographic track toward tenure, that esteemable justification to “just coast,” applying his particularly potent combination of quick wit and an even quicker trigger.
As New Orleanians are fond of saying,”Laissez les bon temps rouler!” (Let the good times roll.) Or in this case, put poetically on a cardboard sign, “I’ll eat pussy for anything.” What a magical city, indeed.
